Through a qualitative synthesis of recent literature, it finds that legal exposure significantly alters valuation strategies—particularly in fairness opinions—prompting conservative estimates to mitigate shareholder lawsuits and regulatory scrutiny. The analysis reveals that litigation risk can distort valuation objectivity, reduce deal premiums, and shift the role of valuation from economic justification to legal protection. This paper contributes to a deeper understanding of the intersection between legal risk and financial valuation in corporate transactions
Dadang Irawan, Willy Chandra Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Business, Marketing, Economics & Leadership (IJBMEL) https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/432 Wed, 06 May 2026 00:00:00 +0700 From Academic Entrepreneurship to Regional Development: A Literature Review of the Impact Pathways of University Innovation Ecosystems https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/433
This qualitative literature review examines the impact pathways of University Innovation and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (UIEEs) on regional development. Synthesizing findings from recent empirical and conceptual studies, the review identifies key mechanisms such as academic entrepreneurship, university–industry collaboration, policy integration, and human capital formation. The analysis highlights the evolving role of universities as ecosystem orchestrators that drive not only innovation and economic growth but also social inclusion and sustainability. While contextual differences shape outcomes, best practices emphasize multilevel governance, stakeholder engagement, and place-based strategies. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of UIEEs as complex, adaptive systems and calls for more longitudinal and regionally diverse research to support future policymaking and institutional design
Mia Christy Patricia, Grace Yulianti Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Business, Marketing, Economics & Leadership (IJBMEL) https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/433 Wed, 06 May 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Reframing Stakeholder Influence: A Review of Heterogeneous Stakeholder Mobilization and Corporate Responsiveness in the Era of Digital Activism https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/434
This qualitative literature review explores how digital activism is transforming stakeholder influence and corporate responsiveness. Contrary to traditional models emphasizing unified collective action, recent evidence reveals that heterogeneous stakeholders now mobilize through fragmented yet emotionally resonant digital narratives. This form of "heterogeneous convergence" enables diverse publics to exert pressure on firms despite lacking organizational coherence. Drawing from contemporary cases such as #MeToo and #DeleteUber, the review highlights how digital platforms facilitate dynamic stakeholder engagement, enabling rapid reputational impacts. The findings suggest that organizations must adapt to increasingly polyphonic and contested stakeholder environments, where legitimacy is shaped not by static engagement models but by real-time digital responsiveness. This review contributes to stakeholder theory by integrating digital mobilization dynamics and calls for expanded theoretical and empirical research into digitally mediated stakeholder influence
Ahembang, Selvi Agustina Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Business, Marketing, Economics & Leadership (IJBMEL) https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/434 Wed, 06 May 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Unpacking Micro-Level Leadership Behaviours in Digital Transformation: A Qualitative Systematic Review of Behavioural Antecedents to Organisational Performance https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/460
Digital transformation has intensified scholarly interest in leadership; however, existing research predominantly emphasises leadership styles and strategic orientations, leaving the role of micro-level leadership behaviours underexplored. This qualitative systematic literature review synthesises prior studies to examine how everyday leadership behaviours function as behavioural antecedents of organisational performance in digital transformation contexts. Drawing on a structured review of interdisciplinary literature, the study identifies cognitive, relational, and adaptive leadership behaviours as central mechanisms through which digital initiatives are translated into performance outcomes. The findings reveal that micro-level behaviours—such as sensemaking, empowering communication, psychological safety cultivation, and behavioural flexibility—indirectly shape organisational performance by fostering digital capabilities, innovative work behaviour, and employee resilience. By shifting the analytical focus from abstract leadership constructs to observable behavioural micro-foundations, this review contributes to digital leadership and organisational performance literature and offers integrative insights for future empirical research and managerial practice
Novrizal, Cahyatih Kumandang Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Business, Marketing, Economics & Leadership (IJBMEL) https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/460 Wed, 06 May 2026 00:00:00 +0700 From Trust to Transparency: A Systematic Qualitative Review of Regulatory, Ethical, and Organizational Challenges in AI-Driven Letter of Credit Automation https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/461
This study presents a systematic qualitative literature review examining regulatory, ethical, and organizational challenges in the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) for letter of credit (LC) automation in trade finance. Synthesizing prior interdisciplinary research, the review finds that AI technologies—such as machine learning and natural language processing—offer substantial efficiency, accuracy, and transparency gains in documentary credit examination. However, these benefits are constrained by regulatory uncertainty stemming from legacy legal frameworks, ethical concerns related to algorithmic opacity, bias, and accountability, and organizational challenges involving trust, governance, and workforce readiness. The findings highlight that AI-driven LC automation constitutes a socio-technical transformation rather than a purely technological upgrade, requiring alignment between evolving regulation, responsible AI governance, and organizational change management. This study contributes to the trade finance and digital transformation literature by providing an integrated perspective on how transparency can be institutionalized without undermining trust in automated financial decision-making
Moh Zalmi Kahardani, Erwin Santosa Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Business, Marketing, Economics & Leadership (IJBMEL) https://mail.jurnal-mnj.stiekasihbangsa.ac.id/index.php/IJBMEL/article/view/461 Wed, 06 May 2026 00:00:00 +0700
